Northern Lights – A champion with a fascinating story

Northern Lights is certainly among the varieties that have made their mark on the evolution of the cannabis plant. This variety is believed to have originated on the West Coast of America and was derived from the combination of eleven different seeds. These varieties have been genetically improved and hybridised so many times that the exact genetic make-up of the seed is now a mystery. Importantly, however, Northern Lights has been the basis for many award-winning cannabis varieties.

According to legend, it was an exclusively Indica plant from Afghanistan, but some of the original eleven plants are said to have contained genes from Thailand.
We offer you today our feminized Northern Lights which is still an Indica hybrid, but contains a lot of Sativa in its leaf structure.

Approximately 1.2 metres indoors and over 2 metres outdoors

Our Female Northern Lights reaches 1.2 meters indoors and over 2 meters outdoors. The foliage is not particularly dense and has long leaves consistent with the characteristics of Sativa. During the flowering period, one realizes the heritage that this plant carries from Afghanistan. This heritage involves dense, resin-filled buds that cover the entire plant, combined with the creation of a giant central structure.

Love it and it will reward you

It yields an average of 50-60 grams per plant and 500 grams per square meter under 600W light. Outdoors, it can yield up to 625 grams per plant but only in warm climates such as that of southern Spain, California or North Africa. Under favourable conditions (enough sunshine, nutrition and water), Northern Lights will grow into a tree with excellent performance.

Flowering is completed after 8-9 weeks. During the flowering period, the surface of all the buds is covered with a thin layer of resin, the shine of which is released towards the end of the plant’s growth.
