Special Queen #1 – The basis of most European varieties

In the 90s all the cannabis sellers and growers were frantically searching for the ultimate Skunk. During this time, many growers tried to breed that Mexican, Colombian, Afghan hybrid, which led to the creation of a huge variety of different Skunk. The genetic characteristics of these cannabis plants would eventually provide the basis for almost all marijuana species in Europe.

At Royal Queen Seeds we decided to bring you a classic Skunk hybrid at a low price. Ideal for someone who is growing for the first time and doesn’t want to invest a lot of money in the experimental stage. Special Queen #1 is a classic skunk that is easy to grow, doesn’t overgrow and is ready to harvest within 8-9 weeks.

Flowers, flowers everywhere

Indoors it will grow up to 1.5 metres so it needs a little more space. Outdoors, on the other hand, it will grow up to 3 metres. It needs plenty of good sun but is also suitable for the climates of Northern European countries such as the Netherlands or Great Britain. It is mostly Sativa and its flowers spread out along the length of the plant providing an excellent crop for an 8 week old Sativa.

Indoors the feminized Special Queen #1 will yield approximately 500g per square meter under a 600W lamp. Outdoors it will grow big and strong, offering a yield of 550g per plant. It needs care to get all the nutrients and water it needs to grow and become strong. At the same time, however, you must be careful not to overdo it with the amount of water and nutrients you give it.

Low maintenance and suitable for all growing methods

This type of cannabis is fairly easy to grow and requires little maintenance making it ideal for a commercial cultivation. It is perfect for water or soil culture facilities and excellent for crops using the Sea/Screen of green (SOG) method. We recommend a flowering period of 8-9 weeks for this variety, but many growers have harvested as early as week 7.
